Peter Wilder was born in Australia where he studied horticulture, completing his studies at the Ohio State University, USA.

He came to the UK in 1989 where he studied Landscape Architecture before moving to Berlin where he worked on a number of large scale urban design projects including Potsdamer Platz.

His main affinity is for design with water and over the last 10 years he has worked at integrating water management and ecology into urban design, brownfield regeneration and residential masterplanning.

In 2003 he established a partnership with Glen Macfarlane. The practice has rapidly become a leading proponent of sustainability led urban and environmental masterplanning, winning numerous competitions and government regeneration projects.

The practice was part of the successful SIXTY K consortia winning three of the nine Design for Manufacture sites where sustainable building and landscape design have been a key objective. The team designed the BRE Innovation Park Watford and the rainwater harvesting system for the zero carbon Kingspan Lighthouse. Current schemes include the BRE Innovation Park Ravenscraig, Wales International Business Park, Wembley City and London 2012 Athletes Village.
