Martin Hyde
Martin has worked for Lewisham for over 20 years starting his career in leisure services.
Fifteen years ago, after studying for a DMS in leisure, Martin caught the bug for parks and open spaces and has overseen the regeneration of Lewisham’s parks over the 10 years since the commencement of the Glendale contract.
Martin is currently leading on the letting of the new contract which has an annual value of over £3.5 million. He has also been key to many capital projects which have seen some £10million worth of investment with more to come.
Martin is the Council’s lead officer for the national Green Flag award scheme and has been a Green Flag judge for many years. He has recently presented to Green Space conferences in Manchester and London on Green Flag partnerships and designing out crime along urban river corridors.
